A proud mum keeps a watchful eye on her new calf.

As every farmer knows, the adult cow can be be very protective of its new family. So it was with good reason I had been provided with a ready escape route by way of a tractor and trailer just behind me when taking this picture.

My thanks go to the owner of the herd for allowing me access and for providing the support vehicle.
