Water and Shore
The 'Caul' or Weir on the River Nith in full flow.
There is a lot of power in the water just here, espcially when the river is in spate. The local seagulls have to be daring and fast to snatch a morsel or two from the rapidly flowing water. Maybe that's why they spend a fair bit of time tracking the visitors along the banks instead.
