Water and Shore

The Caul or Weir on the River Nith in Dumfries, south west Scotland.

Depending upon the time of year the water flowing here can be a roaring torrent or a steady flow. Salmon can jump in their migration upstream to spawn and seagulls are usually flying around scavenging expectantly.
