It can take a moment to work out what is going on here!

Southerness Lighthouse stands on the southern coast of Dumfries and Galloway, looking accross the Solway to Cumbria and northern England.

This was taken early morning, looking around for something a bit different having worked on some dawn seascape views.

The water is one of a series of large 'puddles' that form once the tide has gone out. One has been used here to create the reflection of the lighthouse against the lightening morning sky.
